You would think from a map that Union would connect from Boren to Broadway, but it in fact does not (runs into a \leftrightarrow sign at ~Harvard). Yeah, James/Cherry is not geometrically shortest but worked pretty well on the way back.

Pine is the one that has a gap at Madison. Pike crosses Madison, but then has a gap between 18th and 24th.

I'd gladly use a more accurate map if only I could find it...
