I haven't posted much because I don't have much to say. I feel like I'm drifting in space. The defense date is still not scheduled because one committee member has dropped off the face of the planet, and I'm not jaunting about on interviews because no companies will get back to me with a yes or no answer (which I'm afraid points towards "no"). All I really have to work on is practicing the defense talk. So it's hard to feel like I'm getting anything done. On top of this, I'm worried we're going to end up involuntarily unemployed.

This is amusing, in a "we're so screwed" kind of way. The head of Turner Broadcasting has some scary ideas, and he's also got more lobbyists than I do.
