I have a library card
Jan. 8th, 2003 11:45 pmand so does the Turkish(?) girl who was translating from the librarian helping fill out the form to her father, who knew their number on their street.
The local little branch had The Collapsium, so I stopped in. Today I discovered the rose garden near Green Lake. Overlooking where 50th dives under 99, there's the back end of a miniature hedge maze. (I mean miniature -- don't get worked up.)
A red bird was perched on the very tip of an eighty-foot pine, one taller than all the rest, riding its twig as the tree swayed. Do you think it liked the ride? Or the comfortable joy of looking down on everything around?
