I bent the steel shank in my boot stomping on a shovel shoulder. I did not know you could do that.

We, a work crew of many, planted seven hundred Douglas firs on [livejournal.com profile] hattifattener's mother's and sister's plots of land. You don't actually have to dig a hole, just lever open a shovel-stab, so seven hundred is not quite as many as it sounds. We ate pie for Pi Day, and for Pi Day Eve, and generally when pie was available; and played a bit of Boggle.
