In the entranceway to the Fremont library is a bulletin board with what are labeled as conceptual sketches for a sculpture for the patio area. A three-panel drawing shows a tall upright plant transmogrifying into a hunched creature having a head of sinuous tentacles.

Over the bulleting board is tacked a handwritten note, advising that changes have been made to the concept.
