When it comes to tree experts, two of the biggest names are teaming up to give a rare presentation March 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sunset Hill Clubhouse, 3003 N.W. 66th St.
Arthur Lee Jacobson, author of the highly acclaimed "Trees of Seattle," will present "Trees Worth Planting." Besides describing the best features of trees ideally suited to our climate, along with magnificent slides, he will talk about 20 smaller trees that are perfect for urban gardens.
Cass Turnbull, founder of Plant Amnesty, a non-profit organization famous for helping folks learn to prune correctly, will describe "Six Ways To Kill Your Tree (Inadvertently)" and will enlighten us on proper tree care. Admission is free, but donations will be used to help pay for a new roof at the Sunset Hill Clubhouse.
