hi, still here

And I have network in the new place now. I've brought over some essentials, and am packing the rest for movers to lug.

Some days, like yesterday, are fragile-anxious-distracted and useless, but other days, like today, are fine and productive. My regimen-of-the-day is to have a plan in advance for each day. Tomorrow is laid out as: walk for bagels; run down a shopping list; see people. Gak, I should wedge packing in there.

Hey, does anyone hereabouts have any spare book-size boxes, like the 1.5 ft3 ones?

I have a couple of boxes you could have, if you like. 2 unused ones and probably 2-3 used ones.

If you told me you were going to come pick them up at a certain time, I could probably have more, it would give me some incentive to unpack. :)

Oh, yeah. You want some, we got some.

I got into the habit of "plan out plans in advance" before the start of school this summer. It just seems very comforting to know what you're doing, how you're doing it, especially when other things are feeling more out-of-whack.

Even if you don't end up doing it exactly on schedule. :-}

I did tell you we had many. They haven't gone anywhere farther than the basement. :)

Liquor stores have the best boxes for packing,
Where are you moving to?
I hope you find it a happy place for a new start.

Oh, liquor boxes, I used to do that. The PA state liquor stores I didn't have much luck with.

It's in an odd little ravine right south of where 46th takes the first bend down into Ballard. The hills have staircases named as streets. I think it will be good. Thanks.

Hey - you're in our neck of the woods.
Ballard is an awesome place to live.

I think of it as Fremont, because that's the "downtown" I can walk to, but it's really liminal. Great view of Ballard from the roof.

Yup. Here you can get wine boxes in the grocery stores. I did that for my last move. Call ahead (or be prepared to stop by more than once) so you know what day/time the shipments are unpacked.

No boxes, but hugs if you want 'em.

Noted and appreciated.
(n.b. I am not able to pack into a 1.5 ft3 hug.)

Thanks for box offers. I will make the rounds.

Glad things are reasonably okay. If I lived closer, I'd offer to come un/pack boxes.

*hugs*
