visiting trees
Apr. 15th, 2004 07:14 pmPatchy clouds all day, and I wanted sun to go around and take pictures of trees, before they leaf out fully. Around noon the sun came through for a while, but by the time I was ready to go out, it was behind a large raft of cloud. I waited, and took pictures of the African violet's almost-flower.
When a mostly-clear patch showed, I went out on a tour of nearby trees I had noticed at various times while driving around, and jotted down on a parking receipt.
Pictures.

an ash?
Dayton and 47th N
Winona past PCC.
planted nearby: what is it?
it is tasty to aphids.
maple?
Corliss and Green Lake
I like the loose flowering of this lilac.
Sunnyside and 77th
big maple.
the fellow on the porch says his landlord says it's the second-oldest maple in the city.
Ravenna and 60th
a red-winged maple.
across Ravenna
dogwood.
Greenwood and 43rd?
