also: cheese

Emmenthal : Gruyere :: Gruyere : Appenzeller. I picked up a sliver of Appenzeller at the PCC. It's fun.

Now I'm craving fondue.

Mmmm, fondue.

[livejournal.com profile] simonelo has several fondue pots. She really needs to get off her butt and have us over for fondue i think.

Yeah, preferably when I'm in Seattle. :)

When I am filthy rich I will roll not in money, but in Appenzeller fondue.

Oh, the comments I am restraining myself from making.

Some people have such cheesy minds.

But is it as fun as apricot Stilton, hmm?

Apricot Stilton?
Oh goodness, there is such a thing. I can't imagine what it tastes like.
Where has it?

[identity profile] panserbjorne.livejournal.com 2004-04-22 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
Trader Joe's.

I brought some to a dinner last night, and it was more apricoty and less cheesy than I remember it being when I tried the sample. People described it as "interesting." Perhaps not in an unequivocally positive way.

I have to try it, because I just can't superimpose those two flavors in my imagination.
