The bigger dust balls, those that had grown round and full of personality, Moomintroll would put out on the verandah, but the small ones he allowed to roll about as they liked.

"Just one thing," Moomintroll mumbled sleepily. "Promise not to have a fire in the porcelain stove, because our ancestor's living there now."

I love Moomins, and Snuffkin, and Sniff and muchly Little My.

I was thinking I wanted to have Moominland mood icons, but that the images really wouldn't fit in that small space. Then that maybe I just need a Little My and a Snufkin userpic. (Then that I don't much use userpics anyway.)

Hmm. I bet you could do a simple set of mood icons... It'd be a bunch of work, but much of the varied emotions could be handled with all the different characters. Since they're often personifications of traits/feelings... Maybe I'll have to look into that. A Little My userpic would be excellent though! Right now as I'm frustratedly writing music, yes, Snufkin would be much more appropriate... But as I want to *shred* the music, perhaps after all Little My.

Have you collected all of the Moomin books? I wait for them to come to me in used bookstores, it's always nice to have something to look for, so I'm still missing a couple.

I am missing a fair number, I know, though I haven't even looked at a complete list.

Moominland Midwinter. I haven't read any of these books for a long time, and can't remember if this is an extraordinarily good one, or if they have gotten better on later reading.

beggars' velvet: Downey [sic] particles which accumulate under furniture from the negligence of housemaids.

That's it, I'm farming velvet.
