There's this amazing species of fluke that spends its first life-stage in
mutant cockroaches. Humans ingest the cockroach droppings, and the fluke
multiplies in the liver. But it sends a few individuals to encyst in the
brain, where they induce the human host to nuke large areas of the world to
radioactive glass. There the mutant cockroaches thrive, completing the
cycle of life.
