Jun. 9th, 2005 10:12 pmThe gated enclaves keep palm trees for display, and light them at night with fixtures on the ground, pointing upwards. These fixtures attract insects. A semicircle of toads sits facing each light.
Escaped iguanas have gone feral in South Florida. We saw a good dozen, easily four feet long, around the Japanese garden of the Morikami Museum, sprawled over the carefully selected imported boulders.
