sushi

My dad's parents are here, and we went out for dinner at a two-headed Chinese/Japanese restaurant in Northampton, so of course Dee and I had sushi. The sushi for two, minus creatures with suckers, plus dragon rolls, plus one amaebi for me. Mmm, slimy shrimpy goodness. The salmon was heavenly. We got what looked like uni, but it was nagiri, not a piled-up roll like with roe the way I'd seen it before; also it tasted good, not the metallic fishy nastiness the one other time I tried it.

We later saw on a Tokyo Food Store sushi calendar that this non-uni uni was in fact not uni but herring roe.
