Sit tight, the burning will subside in fifteen minutes or so. (Almost subside. What's left is probably just these little embedded slivers. (until they reach my heart at which point I become a clubwraith under their control of course))

It's said to have medicinal properties, but, I think not raw grabbed.

Kind of seems like it's not worth it for all the danger, but, perhaps I am a bit of a wuss on injuring myself for dinner.

I've never met devil's club. The description makes it sound like it's approximately as annoying to harvest as prickly pear, with the poking that can be avoided with reasonable care, and the wee spines that hide in your sleeves for weeks after no matter what you try - is that about the right scale of danger? Or am I missing some kind of wacky neurotoxin?

Haven't tried it, but picking devil's club sounds like the kind of thing where you can be careful and that probably gets you down to just *one* accident. I'll report back about the neurotoxin.

This says prickly pear wafts its spines at you through the air? Which is over the line in my opinion.
