tuna/camel etymology of the day

OED:
[a. Pg. albacor, -bacora, -becora (Sp. albacora, Fr. albicore); f. Arab. al the + bukr, pl. bakārat, a young camel, a heifer, whence also Pg. bacoro a young pig. The Fr. form albicore is also in use.]
ext_481: origami crane (Default)

huh. interesting.

now i am wondering whether there's any way baccarat is related to camels too; looking it up online only comes with "french, unknown etymology".

So "Chicken of the Sea" is wrong, it should be "Camel of the Sea".
