I have an older edition you can check out, and one of Curtis Roads' book, which is a nice reference on various topics. My thesis is all about twisting the knife in Csound's guts, so you can see I'm not that enthusiastic myself about the Csound book, but Rick Boulanger's a good guy and I hear it's a good book if you do use Csound.
