Cuba postcard
Oct. 24th, 2001 11:55 pmOne of the postcards I sent to Dee from Cuba arrived -- took one month to the day. (I was there for the International Computer Music Conference, in Havana this year. It was September 16 to 24.) It reminds me, my travelogue was in my pre-LJ epoch, so if you're curious,

The postcard has a miniature of it:
Wed -- learned you do not have to eat the head and eyes and stuff of a whole shrimp. But you can. Crunchy!
Thu -- ICMC Banquet. Synchronized swimming with guys in Spandex tuxes and boxer briefs. Band. Old fellow who can really dance.
Fri -- walked through an open-air book market without buying a thing, honest. (was all in Spanish, natch.) In other news, damn they pack a lot of rum into a mojito.
Sat -- Havana Chinatown is tiny. Havana cats are tiny.
Sun -- Brought one pair of socks too few.
