We are pseudo-formally engaged! I picked up the pretty sparkly ring this afternoon, and after dinner (in the car, because the acoustics in Soba were such that we would have had to shout the conversation) asked dr4b if she would have me. She decided yes.

I say "pseudo-formally" because we don't have a date as such. We'll figure that out when we have a minute.

I have to ask — did you guys post from separate computers at the same time, or from the same computer sequentially?

Actually, separate computers sequentially. And then edited the first post to contain a reference to the second one.
