long time no post
Aug. 12th, 2002 02:16 pmLet me recap for the two or three people who don't read
dr4b's journal. We are in Seattle, staying with Josh and Megan. We've signed a lease on a really nifty house half a block west of Green Lake, and should get our material loot moved there in this week or next; this is if the people storing it ever call back. I also wonder what ""they"" have done to my car.
While Dee has been at her first week of work, I've been walking around the lake and our new neighborhood, buying books, futzing around online, extending some DSP work I did (the minBLEP stuff), and trying to find a job. Found a listing at Adobe, still talking to Amazon, and I'm somewhere in the bowels of the employee referral program at Microsoft. I've about run out of inside contacts, and as far as I can tell, public job listings are more for the EEOC than for actual hiring. I don't feel like I need to get panicky, because I suspect in the end I can suck it up and fill one of Microsoft's gobs of open employee-slots.
The weather kicks ass. Maybe I'll go walk around the lake.
