many baby chicks and ducks are yellow, but then they grow out of that.

Chicks, definitely, though I'm used to ducklings in mottled shades of brown. Maybe shading into golden brown...

They aren't purple or glow in the dark or horned either, but rubber ducks with these characteristics can be found.
