Today's food experiment was making mole: salmon mole with toasted pepitas and golden raisins. Plus obbroccoli. The mole took me a while, but I've got plenty of leftovers. I think I toasted the peppers too long -- the blackened spots tasted acrid -- but it came out okay.

Central Market has a limited range of dried peppers. I should try the Salvadoran store on Greenwood.
