I ran across this under "antigropelos": [Said to be made up from Gr. αντι against + υγρος wet + πηλος mud (which should give anthygro 'pēlos)!]

(I did math-Greek HTML, not language-Greek, so I don't know how to get the accents.)

What does it for me, I think, is the deferring to the end of the pedantic parenthetical the signifier of shock at barbarism.
