No one will ever know that I spent fifteen minutes with rubbing alcohol shredding it off and cleaning up the gum. This is a good thing.

Rubbing alcohol, eh? When I worked for a book resale company, we used lighter fluid to peel off price stickers. I'm going to have to try either/both to get the glue off the keys of my steno machine this weekend. w00t!

My organic-solvent intuition thinks lighter fluid might be less apt to wrinkle paperbacks. But I had alcohol and acetone, and didn't want to risk taking the ink off.
