I can't believe it's not natto

I soaked a bunch of soybeans with the idea of making soymilk for tofu. But I didn't get to using them, so I put them in the fridge. Where I forgot them. For a while.

This yogurt container is full of soybeans.

The soaking liquid has turned into something else. It has tensile strength; when you try to spill out some of the beans, it wants to hang onto them and to draw them back up into the larger mass. But it doesn't smell bad! I got lucky!

I do want to try a Finnish cultured milk called viili that by description has
a certain strand-forming capacity.

And if I understand Google's translation correctly, a Finnish woman has named her snake Viili, so there's that.
